FFnet Latest Clarification
“News:June 4th 2012 — Notices:
- Please note we would like to clarify the content policy we have in place since 2002. FanFiction.Net follows the Fiction Rating system ranging from Fiction K to Fiction M. Although Fiction Ratings goes up to Fiction MA, FanFiction.Net since 2002 has not allowed Fiction MA rated content which can contain adult/explicit content on the site. FanFiction.Net only accepts content in the Fiction K through Fiction M range. Fiction M can contain adult language, themes and suggestions. Detailed descriptions of physical interaction of sexual or violent nature is considered Fiction MA and has not been allowed on the site since 2002. “
Well, if they start purging or deleting stories that they feel should- or do- carry the MA rating, they are going to lose a whole lot of writers and readers. According to the above, any combat scene in a story would be against their policy!
I guess most of my stories would be MA, instead of M, according to the above…. it’s a good thing I kept my Ao3 account! So much for freedom of speech, freedom to be creative in your writing… freedom to write and read ADULT/MATURE stories on FFNET!
So this group called Critics United (my guess: a bunch of Bible-thumping prepubescent girls) is hunting down M-rated stories and reporting the “too smexxy” ones for deletion. People are having their stories deleted thanks to what basically amounts to a witch-hunt.
Go save your favorite M-rated stories NOW.

Ever since I read about how Chris Evans can’t do things like that Flaunt shoot since getting his new PR person…
…I am suspicious of every cute story that comes out of his mouth.

elisicle replied to your post: I hate when you have all these feels and you’re totally in the mood to write and then something comes along and interrupts you and you can’t get it back again later no matter how hard you try.
I know this feeling… they end up as half written drafts forever languishing.
Yes! And you keep hoping that whatever combination of brain chemicals led you to start that particular story will mix itself up again at some date in the future.
